Landscape Success: Free online program starting April 20th!

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and Fort Bend County Master Gardeners are partnering with the Fort Bend County Libraries to offer Landscape Success, a program consisting of eight online classes to be held each month from April through November 2021.

Based on Earth-Kind® landscaping principles, the goal of Landscape Success is to conserve water and protect water quality, reduce fertilizer and pesticide use, conserve energy, and reduce yard waste entering urban landfills. Topics are selected based on the flow of the landscape preparation, design, implementation, and maintenance.

The first online class, “Gardening Success Begins with Soil”, will be held on Tuesday, April 20th from 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. with a question-and-answer period to follow. Boone Holladay, Fort Bend County Extension Agent -Horticulture, will discuss how county residents can maintain their soil to create beautiful, low-maintenance, and environmentally sustainable landscapes.
