The Women’s Fund for Health Education and Resiliency Presents “Love Your Heart” Series and Health and Wellness Virtual Presentations

“Love Your Heart” Series Presented by Kelsey-Seybold Clinic

The Women’s Fund for Health Education and Resiliency, a nonprofit providing Houston-area women and girls with the tools needed to be advocates for their health, presents a “Love Your Heart” month-long series with guest speakers and health and wellness virtual presentations on heart health, body image and eating disorders.

To ensure positive outcomes for women and girls, The Women’s Fund offers virtual presentations at no cost to the public. Each session lasts an hour via Zoom and will be posted afterward on The Women’s Fund website (www.thewomensfund.org) and their YouTube and social media accounts. Registration is available on their website.

The “Love Your Heart” month-long series is presented by Kelsey-Seybold Clinic and will be available online via Zoom and include:

  • Wednesday, February 3 at 2 p.m. “Go Red for Women” with American Heart Association
  • Wednesday, February 10 at 2 p.m. “CPR” with Marlene Watkins
  • Wednesday, February 17 at 2 p.m. “Heart Health” with Dr. George Adesina
  • Wednesday, February 24 at 2 p.m.  a presentation by Heather Sholl with The Villages Gym

Additional virtual health and wellness presentations will be available online via Zoom and include:

  • Thursday, February 4 at 9 a.m.
  • Tuesday, February 16 at 6 p.m.
  • Friday, February 26 at 3 p.m.

Body Image

  • Thursday, February 4 at 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 10 at 9 a.m.
  • Tuesday, February 23 at 3 p.m.

Eating Disorders

  • Friday, February 5 at 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 11 at 6 p.m.
  • Friday, February 19 at 9 a.m.

For 42 years, The Women’s Fund has educated girls and women in the Houston-area through classes, workshops, lectures and publications that teach resiliency skills and relate those skills to current and future health risks.
