KATY, TX (Oct. 21, 2019) – Katy Mills, a premier outlet shopping destination in Southwest Texas, today announced major exterior enhancement plans that will complement the brand-new, modernized interior designs. The family-friendly center, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, successfully completed a massive interior transformation that brought a bright and upscale look, an updated Dining Pavilion, a beautiful movie theater courtyard and a widely popular, interactive Disney Jr. play area to further add to its entertainment offerings for all ages.
“Looking back on the two decades we’ve shared with the community, we knew embarking on a total property transformation would elevate the shopping experience for today’s modern consumers and their future needs,” said James Ross, General Manager of Katy Mills. “These improvements were designed with our shoppers and retailers in mind, and we are excited to finalize the center’s fresh look with the exterior makeover just in time for the holidays.”
Scheduled to be complete by year’s end, Katy Mills’ exterior will feature a timeless, neutral color palette, clean architectural lines and a brighter, more inviting atmosphere. Exterior developments will include:
- Dynamic light towers with oversized, illuminated mall entry identification numbers
- State-of-the-art LED lighting as well as new monument and directional signs
- Entrance design embellishments such as woven metal mesh screens
- Exterior painting, new concrete walkways and refreshed landscaping
The city of Katy is booming and undergoing enormous developments, including construction of multiple new businesses and residences. Katy Mills continues to serve as the hub for the community, and a welcoming place where guests can shop and spend time together thanks to a dynamic mix of retailers including sought-after brands, full-line, value and outlet stores, and dining and entertainment options.
The center will remain open and operating throughout the exterior project.
