KATY [August 26, 2019] – Mental health symptoms among children are described as serious changes in the way that children typically learn, behave, or handle their emotions. Do you know what signs and symptoms to look for and where to turn for assistance? A top priority for Katy ISD is to actively support the emotional well-being of all learners. We value their overall mental health and when needed we work to find outside services to improve their emotional well-being.
Katy ISD invites all parents to learn more about mental health awareness and services available to our students through a Legacy Parent Academy educational session. These meetings are free and specifically designed to equip parents with valuable strategies and techniques. Sessions will take place throughout the school year and will include experts on a variety of topics. For more information, visit the Legacy Parent Academy website.
