What is the danger?

Tropical Storm Chantal is the third named storm of the 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season, but poses no threat to Texas. The storm is currently located over the open Atlantic and is expected to downgrade to a tropical depression later this week.

While Tropical Storm Chantal will not impact Texas, we are currently in the peak of Hurricane Season.
