Katy ISD earns all “A’s” to start the school year

KATY [August 19, 2019] –  The Katy Independent School District is celebrating straight “A’s” amidst all of the hustle and bustle of back to school. The District recently learned that it had received, not one, but three “A” ratings from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and two other prestigious organizations.  Out of the 10 largest school districts in the state, Katy ISD is the only one to receive an overall A rating from TEA.  The District was also awarded an “A+” from Niche Best School Districts and an “A” from the Texas Schools Financial Accountability Rating System of Texas (FIRST).

“I am extremely proud of our staff, parents, volunteers and entire school community who come together every day to ensure that our students have access to unparalleled learning experiences in our more than 70 campuses and facilities,” said Dr. Ken Gregorski, Superintendent of Katy ISD.  “It is because of their work, along with the drive and curiosity of our students that Katy ISD is such an exceptional school district.”
