Lance was born and raised In Katy, TX. He attended Cimarron Elementary, West Memorial and Katy Junior High and finally graduated from Katy High School in 1999.  Lance has been in leadership roles in his churches since high school.

Lance loves his family.  Having met his wife, Bradi, in Sunday School at Kingsland Baptist church in 1990, they had their first date at prom their senior year of high school and were married 4 years later.  Bradi has been on staff in multiple roles at Wolman Elementary and is currently teaching 3rd grade math and science.  The Redmons have a door mat that says “There’s like a lot of boys in here,” which fits perfectly with their 3 boys who attend Wolman Elementary, Aidan, Jayce, and Colt.

If there was one word used to describe Lance, it is determination.  As an undersized high school and college athlete, Lance always had to work harder to earn his success on the field. In 2017 Lance was inducted into the Katy ISD Athletic Hall of Honor for his dedication and leadership, both on and off of the field. That hard work, led to graduating from Rice University and later earning his Master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Lance has served in pastoral roles in the community, as well as serving senior adults while leading the team at a local Alzheimer’s care facility. Lance is currently in leadership as the president of a local company that distributes commercial building materials.

Lance has served the community in multiple ways. He has always been an active member of his church, serving in past roles such as a youth minister, church elder, small group leader, and playing bass guitar in the worship band.  Lance has coached multiple children’s sports teams from I-9 to Katy National Little League and Katy Youth Basketball.  Lance has served on the Alzheimer’s Walk to Remember planning committees in 2014 through 2016.  In 2014, He began serving with the Katy ISD Education Foundation and was elected onto the Board of Directors for the Foundation in 2015. He currently serves on the Board Development Committee. In 2017, Lance had the honor of being a part of Leadership Katy ISD class.  Lance has been a member of the PTA at Wolman since 2013.

Change is what Lance wants to see in our District.  With experience leading non-profit and for-profit organizations, Lance is skilled and ready to serve the people of Katy ISD in position 2 as a member of the Katy ISD Board of Trustees.  As a parent of elementary children, the husband of a teacher, and a lifelong Katy ISD resident, Lance has a vested interest in serving and assuring that the students and stakeholders in Katy ISD achieve greatness.
