Cinco Ranch Branch Library To Host Chess Tournament In July

Fort Bend County Libraries’ Cinco Ranch Branch Library will host a Chess Tournament on Saturday, July 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 2620 Commercial Center Blvd in Katy.

Players will be divided into two categories – Youth/Middle Grades and Teen/Adult – and they will compete in their respective categories against other players in their age range.

The Youth and Middle-Grade competition will begin at 10:15 a.m., and the Teen and Adult competition will begin at 1:00 p.m.

The sign-in table will open at 10:00 a.m. on the day of the event. Participants in the Teen/Adult tournament may sign in any time prior to the start of their competition that afternoon.

Registration is required and will open on June 30. Those registered for the tournament will receive an important rules packet prior to the event.
