WHAT:
Ahoy, me harties! Join the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center – A Very Special Project of the Children’s Museum of Houston, as we board our “Jake the Pirate” Celebration. This high-sea adventure will take young pirates through a wave of interactive activities and events during “Super Powered Summer.” Whether you are an aspiring captain or a novice swashbuckler, this day is sure to shiver your timbers!
SPECIAL EVENTS:
“Jake the Pirate” Interactive: Join Captain Jake as he takes a break from pirate life to tell us his story.
Event Time: 1 and 2 p.m. inside Kidtropolis, USA.
ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:
- Super Powered Spin Art: Stretch paint across your canvas at OCuSOFT® Art Academy.
- Super Powered Genetics: ID the genetic make-up of a super organism in Science Station.
- Incredibly Incredible Mask: Channel the Supers with your own secret identity.
- Incredible Paper Doors: Can you fit inside a regular piece of paper? Find out at Junktion.
- Mystifying Magic Paper Clips: Make two paperclips link together in the air at Junktion.

- MUSEUM HOURS: – Sat.: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- General Museum admission: $12 per person and $11 for seniors 65+ and for active duty military personnel. Children under one and Museum Members receive free admission.
