(Houston, TX) – Representative John Culberson (TX-07) released the following statement today, addressing Hurricane Harvey survivors in his district:
“As the Texas Republican who voted for the Hurricane Sandy Relief bill for the Northeast, I invite Senator Schumer to visit my constituents so that he can see how urgent it is that Senate Democrats stop blocking the Hurricane Harvey Relief bill because of a totally unrelated policy issue.
“The House passed the $81 billion hurricane relief bill last month. Hurricane Harvey hit five months ago. Relief is long overdue. It’s time to pass the bill.”
