WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) today issued the following statement after the U.S. Senate confirmed Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court with a vote of 50-48:
“After months of vicious partisan attempts to destroy a man over political differences, I’m pleased Judge Brett Kavanaugh was successfully confirmed to the Supreme Court. Today the Senate sent an important message to the American people – due process and the sacred belief of innocent until proven guilty still matters. Judge Kavanaugh is incredibly qualified and will serve our country honorably, faithfully and conservatively as a member of the highest court of the land. I pray we can come together as a nation and move past this ugly moment in our history.”
