HOUSTON (Sept. 27, 2018) – Join us as we tee off to 90 years at the Houston CPA Society’s Inaugural Fall FUNdraiser on Oct. 22 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at Top Golf Houston – Katy. This FUNdraiser will benefit CPAs Helping Schools educational programs in the 13-county membership area of the Houston CPA Society. Attendees will enjoy Top Golf games, food, beverages, silent auction, prizes and more!
CPAs Helping Schools provides funding to local districts within the 13-county area the Houston CPA Society serves for educational projects, emphasizing aid to economically disadvantaged schools and volunteers who participate in career day presentations.
Since 2002, CPAs Helping Schools has reviewed over 600 grant applications, awarding more than $550,000 to over 200 schools in 35 local districts, private and parochial schools, and nonprofit educational organizations. In addition to providing education basics for at-risk youth, the financial support of CPAs Helping Schools continues to establish initiatives including math, technology, and literacy programs, library improvements, science materials, resources for after school programs, fine art programs and health awareness.
