Calling all Texas Triathletes! The Rotary Club of Katy is pleased to announce the new premier 2018 Katy Triathlon/Duathlon/Aqua Bike. This will be our 26th event. We have moved the events to Cane Island for 2018 and future years. The events will begin Sunday morning, September 23rd at 7:00 am. We will present the colors, followed by our National Anthem, prior to the start of the race. Upon conclusion of the races, we will have an after race party with food, beer, beverages, music, and awards for our top finishers.
On Saturday, September 22nd, we will have package pickup for the participants from 11am to 7pm. We will also have a salad and pasta dinner with beer and beverages for all our participants and their families, at no charge, from 3pm to 6pm. We will also have a VIP area for our sponsors that will feature select food from our food sponsor, Chef Luis Martinez and select beers courtesy of No Label Brewery in Katy. Also included, will be a live band for everyone from 3pm to 6pm, as well as inflatables for the kids.
The Rotary Club of Katy takes no monies from the event, either administrative or management related. We pay all third party bills and the net proceeds benefit need and character based scholarships for graduating KISD seniors. We have funded in excess of $300,000 in scholarships, as well as $175,000 to fund an endowment with KISD that is being used with the Dual Credit Program.
