(Fulshear, TX – April 11, 2018) — Take a variety of kayaks for a paddle at Cross Creek Rack during a spring kayak demo, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21.
Cross Creek Ranch in Fulshear is hosting a kayak demo 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21. The event is free and open to the public.
Houston-based Fishing Tackle Unlimited will be on hand for the annual event, with kayaks by Hobie, Native Watercraft, Perception, Wilderness and more for new and seasoned kayakers to try out. Brand experts will be available to share information and expertise.
“Kayak on the Lake is fun for the entire family,” said Claire Rhode, lifestyle director for Cross Creek Ranch. “They can bring a picnic, play in the water and really get a taste of the lifestyle our residents enjoy all year long.”
The event is free and no registration is required, but children must have parents present. All participants must sign a liability waiver. Event-goers can park at the Fulshear community’s Welcome Center, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane.
Visitors can get a taste of the community’s lifestyle all month long during the April Drools Home Tour, which offers opportunities to tour 170 model homes and nearly 500 well-appointed inventory homes in 14 Johnson Development communities across the Houston area throughout April.
Additional Cross Creek Ranch events include a garage sale and the TriColor Super Sprint Triathlon beginning at 7 a.m. April 14 and music on the patio of Italian Made Café on April 28 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Also on April 28, the community will kick off its 10th anniversary celebration with an ice cream social from noon to 4 p.m. at the Welcome Center.
All 25 of Cross Creek Ranch’s model homes will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays during April. Admission to the tour is free.
