MIKE ITO, born in Japan, has been performing for 46 years in the U.S. as a country and western music vocalist and musician of fiddle, 5-string banjo, flat mandolin, and yodeler.  Ito has performed with the oldest original show in Branson, The Baldknobbers, since 1979.  He has also performed and recorded with the Side of the Road Gang, Capitol Records artists in Dallas, and several local bands in Colorado, Virginia, Iowa, Texas, and Missouri.

Mike Ito has shared the stage with artists such as Buck Owens, Willie Nelson, Conway Twitty, Waylon Jennings, B.B.King, and others.  He was featured in a national radio commercial for Dr. Pepper and has made special appearances on the ABC Morning Show, CNN, Miss USA pageant, NBC, Texas State Fair and many other radio, newspaper and magazine features in the U.S. and Japan.

Performing as a vocalist and fiddler, Mike Ito has performed at the Buck Owens Show, Cotton Bowl, Grapevine Opry, Johnny High country Music Review and Las Vegas as well as internationally in Canada, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.  He was invited to perform at President Reagan’s reception ceremony and during President Bush’s campaign stop in Branson.  He is the author of the book “America viewed through Music” published by Sairyu-sha in Japan.
