2018 Wild West Brewfest

As we draw nearer to the 2018 Wild West Brewfest, we continue to allocate funds from the 2017 event.  We are proud that we are genuinely nonprofit, no on one the team takes a fee or management concession, we feel that this is simply the way it should be. However, we would not be able to help others without your support along with your trust in us to run this festival.

Over the past six years, the WWBF and the Rotary Club of Katy has given away over $600,000 to those in need; our true passion remain with children who wish to participate in activities, however, due to economic reasons they cannot.  From the 2017 event, we have been able to allocate over $147,000 for those less fortunate.  We could not do this without your help!

During the past week, we have identified additional worthy charities and programs that deserve our attention along with our commitment.

Stuff the Sleigh – We committed $1000 to assist children terminally ill with cancer by providing items such as tablets, books, and toys to those in need.

Rotary Club of Wharton TX – $2000, Wharton was devastated by Hurricane Harvey.  As I write this, many of their schools are still not open due to flooding.  Many families lost their entire possessions; we felt a need to give back.

Katy Christian Ministries – $5000 – KCM is an ongoing faith-based ministry in the Katy and West Houston areas.   KCM offers emergency financial assistance, a food pantry, a crisis center that houses the domestic abuse center and the sexual assault center, resale store, donation center.  We are proud to continue to support this worthy cause both through finacial assistance and donating over 1 ton of meat to their food pantry.

Katy FFA – we bought over $8,000 with WWBF proceeds and private funding from the auctions and barn sales.  As this is a termination show, we are currently having these animals processed, once we receive them back, we will in turn donate all of the meat to our local food banks.  WWBF and the Rotary Club of Katy is fully expecting to donate over 3 tons of meat.

Hope Impacts – $2000 – Their mission is to network caring people providing partnerships, information, and resources to address the physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual needs of the homeless, helpless, and under-resourced in the Katy community.

Katy Wolf Pack – $3000 -Katy Wolf Pack is a Special Olympics Texas Team.  Katy Wolf Pack offers softball, basketball, track and field, bocce ball, golf, bowling, Aquatics and Soccer for individuals with intellectual disabilities who live in Katy, Texas and surrounding areas. Seeing these kids have a great time with others while “obtaining a letter jacket” is a special thing to witness.

Katy Independent School District Education Foundation –  $10,000 – The sole purpose is to fund innovative KISD classrooms programs through inspiring teacher grants.  KISD teachers bring the ideas, presenting them to the foundation board and committee volunteers.  The Foundation is entering into its 6th year and has funding projects in every discipline, touching nearly every KISD campus with almost 1000 teachers and 120,000 students as beneficiaries. The WWBF stands on the principle of helping our students that need help; we feel this is an excellent way to broaden that scope while always trying to give others the inspiration and tools they need to be successful.

We are proud to continue to provide to our community, however, we also know without your help we could not do this.  With your sponsorship, you continue to assist those in need as described above.  As you might know, the WWBF team does not take any management fees from our event; we do it only to give back.  We are grateful to you and your company, thank you for your consideration and your continued support.  With your help, we will continue to impact many.

As a reminder, WWBF 2018 will be May 4th (Launch Party starting at 7 PM) and May 5th, VIP opens at two while General admission begins at 3.  We have some exciting activation zones in store for you this year at this year’s festival!
