Pasture and Hay Fertilization Management Seminar

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Fort Bend County is hosting a seminar covering fertilization and nutrient management of high quality hay and forages.  This program is designed for any hay or livestock producer looking to increase hay or forage production by improving nutrient and fertilizer management.

The program will be held on Thursday, February 22nd, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Fort Bend County AgriLife Extension Office, 1402 Band Road, in Rosenberg. Registration will begin at 5:30 with a meal.  Dr. Jake Mowrer, Extension Specialist in Soil Fertility, will be joining us via technology to discuss soil testing, interpreting soil testing reports, the pros and cons of dry and liquid fertilizers, proper fertilizer timing, and considerations for lime application on acidic soils. Additional pasture and livestock related programs are being planned for later in the year. This seminar will provide 1 General Continuing Education Unit (CEU) for Texas Department of Agriculture Pesticide License Holders.
