This past summer, sixteen members of the Cinco Ranch High School FBLA chapter competed at the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California. To qualify for this prestigious competition, members had to participate and place in their respective competitions at the district and state levels. These hardworking students prepared and practiced for numerous competitions and presentations including E-Business and Business Plan.

Cinco Ranch FBLA members had the opportunity to hear keynote speakers, national officer candidate speeches, and display their state pride as the conference officially began. This conference not only allowed them to enhance their business skills through numerous workshops conducted by successful business leaders, but it also expanded their networks through socializing with FBLA members from all across the nation and other countries like Haiti, China, and Cuba. The students also enjoyed the city of Anaheim, exploring Disneyland and riding roller coasters at Universal Studios when they were not diligently studying for their competitions.

The Cinco Ranch FBLA Chapter was recognized as the largest chapter in the Mountain Plains Region. Additionally, Cinco Ranch FBLA had two teams, Management Information Systems (Sunanda Chilikuri, Abby Rooney, and Daisy Li) and Parliamentary Procedure (Shreya Budhiraja, Merium Hashmi, Christina Ryoo, and Elizabeth Xu) qualify for the final rounds by scoring better than more than a hundred teams.
