Discovery Center invaded by glittery, gluey and goopy slime

Make three types of slime in interactive workshop!

Saturday, Sept. 9 beginning at 10:30 a.m.

WHAT:

Uh oh!  Looks like the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center – A Very Special Project of the Children’s Museum of Houston is in a sticky situationThree types of slime have breached our walls, and each one has a mind of its own!  During this slime-filled day, you’re invited to help us overcome mutant slime!  Are you up for the challenge?  Advance registration required

SPECIAL EVENTS:

  • Galaxy Slime: Sparkly star dust glitters from a shimmery slime sent from across the universe.
  • The Blob Slime: Indestructible. Nothing can stop it! It changes shape and texture.
  • Guar Gum Slime: Ooey, gooey, rich and gluey.  Analyze Guar Gum’s components.

HOURS/COST:

  • MUSEUM HOURS: – Sat.:  10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Slime Age Requirement: Children 6 and up with accompanying adult.
  • $5 workshop fee (in addition to admission cost).
  • General Museum admission:  $12 per person and $11 for seniors 65+ and for active duty military personnel.  Children under one and Museum Members receive free admission.
