WEATHER FORCES THEATER DISTRICT OPEN HOUSE CANCELLATION

HOUSTON – Due to Hurricane Harvey, Theater District Houston made the decision today to cancel Theater District Open House.

In a statement, CEO of Theater District Houston, Kathryn McNiel, said:

“We regretfully announce that the 24th Annual TransCanada Theater District Open House has been cancelled due to expected severe weather, and out of concern for the safety of our employees and patrons. Many of the participating organizations will honor Open House special ticket offers online and by phone. Please visit www.theaterdistrictopenhouse.com for additional information.

We thank you for your generous support and we look forward to next year’s Open House, our 25th anniversary event.”

In cooperation with Theater District Houston, Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) is making our ticketing offers for TDOH – traditionally only available in person at the event –  available online.  Visit TUTS.com for more details.

Additionally, TUTS is cancelling the auditions for SLEEPING BEAUTY AND HER WINTER KNIGHT that were originally scheduled for Friday, August 25th and Monday, August 28th.  Details regarding the rescheduling of the auditions will made available at a later date.
