I know you were all sad to see the Cottage Door on Ave. B in old Katy close its doors.
If you haven’t heard yet, they will re-open their doors under new owners.
In March, Dr. Allen and Mrs. Angela Walker became the new owners. They have been an active part of Katy for over 20 years.
“We have spent a lot of time evaluating all the fabulous traditions John and Rosemary Nelson have implemented and have decided to build on their legacy. It’s such an honor and privilege to have this opportunity to continue this service and preserve a piece of Katy history”.
So, on Saturday, April 22nd there will be the “Grand Re-Opening” of the Cottage Door Boutique starting at 10 a.m. There will be a bounce house for the kids and drawings every hour.
They have made a few updates to the shop and some of the friendly faces that served you before are back once more. Not all men like to shop, so there will be a place for you guys to relax while your ladies enjoy some of the new products and some of the traditional favorites. There is a section of products just for the men in the family and the kids will have a library to sit and read or watch a “G” rated video while mom shops. There will also be a Storytime on the first Saturday of the month beginning in June.
The Walkers feel they have been very blessed with their lives. They have 6 children, a successful dental practice and have experienced a full-filling life. They have decided to give back to the community. At the end of each year they will take the profits from The Cottage Door Boutique and donate to various women’s charities throughout Houston and Katy.
