Olson: Fulshear Resident Sarah Hughes is Trump Address Guest

WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) today announced that Fulshear resident Sarah Hughes, a recipient of life-saving adult stem cell treatment will attend President Trump’s first address to Congress on February 28, 2017 as his guest.

Sarah Hughes was diagnosed as a young child with Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, a life-threatening disease. She received high-dose adult stem cell therapy in Cancun, Mexico; her cells were processed by Houston-based biotechnology company Celltex Therapeutics Corporation. Hughes has testified before the Federal Drug Administration in support of changes to US law on adult stem cell therapy. Olson heard her story when Congress was working to pass the 21st Century Cures Act. Sarah Hughes will travel to Washington, DC to attend the presidential address with Olson.
