WASHINGTON – Two universities in the Greater Houston area were awarded federal grants totaling $1,737,220 to help encourage diversity among health care professionals by providing aspiring medical students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds with scholarships, U.S. Senator John Cornyn announced today.
