Boots & Brews Returns to Downtown Katy Tonight to Kick Off 2026 Rice Harvest Festival

KATY, Texas — Downtown Katy will come alive with live music, food, local brews and family entertainment tonight as Boots & Brews returns to Historic Town Square for its second year.

The event runs Saturday, September 12, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Historic Town Square along Avenue C and serves as the official kickoff celebration for the 2026 Katy Rice Harvest Festival.

Live Music in the Heart of Katy

Country music will take center stage throughout the evening.

Holly Tucker is scheduled to perform from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by Hayden Baker from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

In addition to live music and dancing, the City of Katy says visitors can expect food, drinks, a mechanical bull, photo opportunities, children’s attractions and other activities around the square.

The event gives residents another reason to spend a Saturday evening in Historic Downtown Katy while supporting local businesses, vendors and the community organizations connected to the Rice Harvest Festival.

More Than Just a Night Out

Boots & Brews also has a charitable purpose.

Organizers say the first Boots & Brews event, held in September 2025, raised $6,000 for scholarships benefiting local students. The event was created as an annual lead-in to the Katy Rice Harvest Festival while helping raise money that can be returned to the community.

That community focus continues with the larger Katy Rice Harvest Festival, which benefits the Rotary Club of Katy. Festival organizers say net proceeds help support scholarships, nonprofit organizations and charitable programs serving the Katy area.

Katy Rice Harvest Festival Coming in October

Tonight’s celebration is only the beginning.

The 2026 Katy Rice Harvest Festival is scheduled for October 10 and 11 in Historic Downtown Katy.

The two-day festival is expected to include more than 100 vendor booths, food trucks, carnival attractions, a beer garden, family activities and live entertainment.

This year’s music lineup includes Lonestar, scheduled to headline Saturday night, and Neal McCoy, scheduled to headline Sunday. Other performers include Christian Walker, Hayden Haddock and Maverick Murphy.

The Rice Harvest Festival remains one of Katy’s signature community traditions, celebrating the area’s history while bringing residents, businesses and visitors together in the city’s historic downtown district.
