Tips For Creating Eyeliner Wings From Lovoir

Everybody wants to know how to produce a winged eyeliner look. In fact, there is a good chance that when someone says they would like to learn how to use eyeliner, what they really want to know is to learn how to draw an eyeliner wing. After you master the basics, your next challenge is to get the wing right.

1. Prepare your canvas

Ensuring that your canvas is all set, is the most important step that you need to take to create an eyeliner wing. Make sure your eyes are free of any residue and are clean. Use a cotton pad with makeup remover on it to wipe any remaining makeup away. Extend the area you are primingout towards the sides of your face so the entire wing area is covered. You can choose whether to apply eyeshadow before your eyeliner or after. Many people decide to apply it after in order to avoid needing to re-do it if a mistake is made. However, we tend to do it before so the eyeshadow does not make the eyeliner not look as sharp as you want or faded.

2. Line your eyelashes carefully

Stay close to your eyelash line and use your preferred eyeliner to draw a thin line carefully from the corner of your inner eye to about two-thirds of your eye. Stop at the outer third. That will give you space for drawing an even, smooth wing later. It is easier for some people to draw dots at short intervals over the eyelash line, and then use their liner to connect the dots to make sure they get a straight line. It is completely up to you.

3. Draw a dot in the place where you would like your eyeliner wing to end

When deciding where to put the dot, consider the shape of your eye, how sharp you would like the wing to be, and how dramatic you want the wing to look. Use an eyeliner pen or thin-tipped brush to place a tiny dot at your preferred angle and height. Make sure both eyes are made as equal as you can. A good rule is to put the dot someplace along the line between the end of your eyebrow and the outer corner of your eyebrow. You can use  eyeliner tape if that helps.

4. Trace from your dot over to the corner of your eye

Draw a line directly from the dot to the outer corner of your eye or for a perfect easy application use a Lovoir eyeliner stamp. That will be the bottom part of the wing. Therefore, you want to make sure it is neat and sharp. If it needs to be cleaned up somewhat, add makeup to a q-tip. Don’t worry about making it look perfect on your first try. The good thing is that it doesn’t matter what type of eyeliner you use since any product can be used for this step. You can get this done, whether you are an expert with liquid or a beginner with a brush.

5. Fill the gaps in

You are almost done! It is time to create strong wings that can fly into the sunset and add your finishing touches. Maybe that’s a slight exaggeration. However, you probably look pretty fierce already. This can be done with your eye closed or open, but to make a clean line we recommend that you begin with a closed eye. Take your eyeliner stating at the dot, and then draw a more sweeping and angled line. Connect it to the place where you left off at the outer third of your eye. All that is left to do now is color the space in. Small strokes should be used and make sure you draw in a consistent direction. You will then be done!
