Sugar Land, TX— The First Annual Fort Bend Veterans Festival, a Christian-hosted fundraiser for the benefit of local Fort Bend veteran organizations, will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, at Constellation Field (formerly known as Skeeter’s Stadium), in Sugar Land, Texas. Tickets cost $15.00 each and are available at the door or online at fortbendveteransfestical.com.
This festival will feature several activities including a chili cook-off care of the Tejano Veterans Association, a classic car show, learning-based children’s games and activities care of the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center, and various vendors and participants offering veterans’ services. At 4:00 p.m., an ecumenical Christian service will be led by Rev. Curtis Brown, U.S. Army Gulf War Veteran, Author of “God is Bigger!,” Radio Show Host of Battlefield Connections on KKHT FM 100.7, and Rev. Robert Miller, U.S. Army Gulf War Veteran, and pastor of the Restored Passion for God Ministries. Live performances of contemporary Christian rock and alt-rock music from First Colony Church of Christ Worship musicians will follow. Event organizer Phillip Andrews and local community leaders will also speak in support of the veterans.
