West Katy continues to attract major national businesses as residential and commercial development pushes farther west along the Interstate 10 corridor.
Target, Lowe’s and EōS Fitness have each confirmed locations in West Katy through their official company websites, providing residents with a clearer picture of the continued commercial growth taking place in this part of the Katy area.
Target Confirms New Katy Heritage Store
Target has officially confirmed a new store identified by the company as “TX – Katy Heritage.”
According to Target’s official upcoming stores page, the new location will be at 29355 Katy Freeway in Katy, Texas, and will be approximately 148,000 square feet.
Target has also identified the Katy Heritage location through its employment website as a new store opening in Fall 2026, with hiring underway for the location.
The new Target represents another major retail investment on Katy’s western side and will provide residents with another shopping option as development continues along the I-10 corridor.

Lowe’s Establishes New West Katy Location
Lowe’s has also established an official location for West Katy Lowe’s.
According to the company’s website, the store is located at:

The official Lowe’s page identifies the location as West Katy Lowe’s and provides store hours, contact information and available services.
The addition of another major home-improvement retailer is significant for an area experiencing continued residential construction and population growth.
As new homes and communities expand farther west, demand also increases for businesses serving homeowners, contractors and property managers.

EōS Fitness Coming to Katy
West Katy’s commercial expansion will continue beyond 2026.
EōS Fitness has officially announced a new gym near Texas Heritage Parkway and Interstate 10.
The company lists the location as:

EōS Fitness currently identifies the location as “Coming Soon” and lists the opening for 2027.
The new fitness center provides another example of a national company investing in the growing West Katy market.

Why Are Major Businesses Moving Farther West?
The three locations tell a larger story about Katy’s continued expansion.
For years, some of the Katy area’s largest concentrations of shopping and dining developed around Mason Road, Cinco Ranch, Katy Mills and the Grand Parkway.
Development continues to move farther west.
As residential communities expand, businesses generally follow the population. New neighborhoods create additional demand for shopping, restaurants, fitness centers, home-improvement stores, medical services and other businesses.
The decision by Target, Lowe’s and EōS Fitness to establish locations in the same general portion of West Katy provides another indication that major companies see continued opportunities in the area.
West Katy Is Becoming a Larger Commercial Center
The expansion could gradually change where residents shop and spend their time.
Residents living west of central Katy have traditionally traveled east along Interstate 10 or toward the Grand Parkway to reach many major retailers and services.
As additional businesses establish locations farther west, more of those services will be available closer to home.
The locations could also serve residents beyond Katy, including people traveling from Brookshire and other communities along the western I-10 corridor.
That makes West Katy’s expansion part of a larger growth story occurring across the western Houston metropolitan area.

Large retailers often encourage additional development around them.
