Reading has been all the rage this summer at Fort Bend County Libraries, and the excitement continues with a special partnership between Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® and public libraries in the Houston area.
This partnership, the Reading with Ringling Program, allows children ages 2 – 12 who read five or more books to earn a free ticket to The Greatest Show On Earth® with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket.
Eleven of Fort Bend County Libraries branches are participating in the program, including: the Albert George Branch Library in Needville, Cinco Ranch Branch Library in Katy, First Colony Branch Library in Sugar Land, Fulshear Branch Library in Fulshear, George Memorial Library in Richmond, Mamie George Branch Library in Stafford, Mission Bend Branch Library in Houston, Missouri City Branch Library in Missouri City, Sienna Branch Library in Missouri City, Sugar Land Branch Library in Sugar Land and the University Branch Library in Sugar Land.
To participate, visit any of the Fort Bend County Libraries branches and request a Reading with Ringling voucher. To earn the free children’s ticket, the voucher must be stamped by a librarian after completing and returning each book.
The coupon can be redeemed at the NRG Stadium box office for the following performances: Thursday, Aug. 6 at 7 pm; Friday, Aug. 7 at 11 am, 3 pm, and 7 pm; Saturday, Aug. 8 at 11 am, 3 pm, and 7 pm; and Sunday, Aug. 9 at 1 pm and 5 pm. For more information, visit www.fortbendlibraries.gov/news
