Houston man arrested for seeking sex with 15-year-old girl A Houston man accused of seeking to have sex with a 15-year-old girl, who was actually an undercover deputy patrolling cyberspace, was arrested Tuesday, Harris County Constable Precinct One Alan Rosen said.

Jeffrey Michael Broome, 47, is charged with online solicitation of a minor as part of investigation by Constable Precinct One’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.

“This is yet another warning to predators that our deputies are on patrol and they will catch you,” Rosen said. “We will do all we can to protect children.”

The investigation began approximately eight months ago and culminated with the charge, a third-degree felony that carries a penalty of up to ten in prison.

The defendant sent elicit images to a person he thought was 15 years old as well as sought to meet to have sex, according to a court record. He suggested she call him “Daddy” or “Hottie” according to the record.

Detectives ask that anyone with information about the defendant and inappropriate contact with minors to call the Internet Crime Against Children Unit at 713-222-4929.

Broome, is an executive with an area company that makes components for construction projects.
