“As a lifelong Catholic, I join millions around the world in celebrating the historic election of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, the first American pope. Pope Leo XIV has already demonstrated servant leadership. My prayer is that as the new head of our Catholic Church, he will promote peace and guide us towards a more compassionate, just world. May his papacy be a blessing to all people of all faiths. Viva il papa!”
