Master Gardeners host Butterfly Celebration

Circle May 3 on your calendar. That’s when Fort Bend County Master Gardeners are inviting you to attend their free Butterfly Celebration at their Demonstration Gardens in Rosenberg from 9 a.m.-noon.
Get in the mood with our big monarch kites and beautiful bubble magic. We enjoy showing off our thematic Demonstration Gardens, and we’ll be there on Saturday to show you around.
Interactive activities provide fun ways to learn about butterflies and other pollinator insects that live in our gardens. There will be face painting and crafts for kids, plus a Scavenger Hunt for prizes.
Learn about rainwater harvesting and drip irrigation, and hydroponics and aquaponics. Bring your horticultural questions for research-based, thoughtful answers. Master Gardeners like to share gardening information.
Visitors can take home passalong plants, learn how to divide day lilies, and pick up free seed packets from our gardens to yours. For $5, you can purchase milkweed starter plants grown from seed while supplies last.
The gardens are located behind the Extension Office at 1402 Band Road in Rosenberg.
