Fort Bend County, TX – Fort Bend County residents, employees, and community groups are invited to join Walk Across Texas! (WAT!), an exciting eight-week health initiative designed to encourage physical activity and wellness. This program offers a fun, team-based approach to fitness, helping participants stay active while fostering teamwork and friendly competition.
Walk Across Texas! is a program developed by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension to help communities across Texas adopt healthier lifestyles through movement and teamwork.
Why Participate?
- Boost Your Health – Regular physical activity enhances energy, mood, and overall well-being.
- Strengthen Teamwork – Join with colleagues, friends, and family to virtually walk across Texas (833 miles!).
- Track Progress Online – Log physical activities and monitor your team’s progress easily.

Program Details:
- Kickoff Date: March 17
- Program Duration: March 17 – May 11
- Registration Deadline: March 16
- Team Size: Up to 8 members per team
- Tracking: Participants log miles daily or weekly via an online platform.
How to Get Started:
- Form a Team: Gather colleagues and select a Team Captain.
- Register Your Team: Captains register on Howdy Health using the League code: watL-250220-68140
- Log Your Miles: Track daily or weekly physical activity online.

Exciting Kickoff Event – Virtual Scavenger Hunt!
