CMA CGM FOUNDATION DONATES GRANT TO SUPPORT THE SALVATION ARMY BOX MEALS TO THOSE IN NEED

WHAT: The CMA CGM Foundation and The Salvation Army of Greater Houston announced today their collaboration to prepare and distribute 600 non-perishable food boxes and turkeys to families in need this Thanksgiving. This donation, equivalent to 21,600 meals, aims to provide essential nutrition during the holiday season, addressing the challenges many families face due to rising costs.

This initiative is part of the CMA CGM Foundation’s fifth “Giving Across North America” campaign, which aims to provide over 100,000 quality meals to Houston residents in need by the end of 2025.

WHO: John Romaka, Senior Director of Development of The Salvation Army of Greater Houston, will be on-site and available for interviews.

WHEN: CMA CGM Foundation will volunteer on Wednesday, November 20th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. or until supplies run out.

WHERE: The Salvation Army’s International Corps Community Care Center at 7920 Cook Rd Houston, TX 77072. The event is open to the community on a first-come, first-served basis, welcoming anyone in need while supplies last. Attendees are encouraged to remain in their vehicles as volunteers will deliver the boxes directly to each car.

About the CMA CGM Foundation

Established in 2005 and chaired by Tanya Saadé Zeenny, the CMA CGM Foundation addresses social needs and utility. Mirroring the CMA CGM Group, a leading family-run business in transportation and logistics, the Foundation is driven by a sense of responsibility, a spirit of solidarity, and a passion for entrepreneurship. It focuses on two key missions: humanitarian aid and education for all. Facing crises, the Foundation leverages the expertise in transport and logistics solutions of the CMA CGM Group to deliver essential humanitarian supplies. It also supports access to quality education, professional training and integration, as well as educational and social innovation. To date, the Foundation has transported 43,000 tons of humanitarian aid to 88 countries, supported over 550 educational projects in France, Lebanon, and around the world, and assisted 55 entrepreneurs through its social incubator, Le Phare.
