People-First Automotive Repair Franchise Hosts 14th Annual Give Back Initiative and Continuing Its Commitment to “Love Your Neighbor as Yourself”
HOUSTON (October 15, 2024) – Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA), leading automotive repair franchise, announced today its 14th Annual National Service Day, a community initiative that provides individuals in need with complimentary oil changes, free safety repairs, and other services to pre-selected individuals in need. Recipients are chosen through local outreach efforts, including community and church groups, ensuring the support reaches those who need it most.
National Service Day was originally created in 2005 by a franchisee in Austin, Texas as a meaningful way to give back to the community through an allocated day of service. In 2010, what initially was just a day to provide free oil change to single mothers and other community members in need was officially integrated as a company-wide service event. Now, a decade later, National Service Day has become a cornerstone of the brand and is held each year on the second Saturday of October, with some locations hosting it the prior Saturday.
Each CBA franchise location has the opportunity to create its own unique plans for National Service Day, whether it’s hosting family-friendly events with face painting, balloon artists, and DJs, enlisting their teams and families to support local causes, or even giving away additional services to a mother or family in need. Franchisees consistently go above and beyond with their creativity, ensuring that the day is impactful for all involved.
“Our franchise owners go above and beyond to serve their communities, and the 14th Annual National Service Day is a testament to their dedication and compassion,” said Donnie Carr, President & CEO of Christian Brothers Automotive. “As we prepare to open our 300th shop at the end of October, the energy to give back is stronger than ever. We are blessed to serve our communities, and I’m incredibly proud of our franchise owners for their dedication to making this day impactful for those in need.”
Additionally, the Home Office hosted a special car care clinic as part of National Service Day, empowering young women from Twst4Girls, a local nonprofit serving girls aged 11-17. The clinic, held on Saturday, October 12, covered essential car maintenance skills such as changing a tire, understanding maintenance intervals, and how to communicate with auto repair professionals. This hands-on event aimed to equip participants with practical life skills and confidence when it comes to vehicle care.
Founded in Mission Bend, Texas in 1982, CBA has redefined the auto care experience. Ranked #1 by J.D. Power for Customer Satisfaction among Aftermarket Full-Service Maintenance and Repair Providers five times in a row* in their 2019, 2021-2024 ASI study, the brand’s priority is to create a positive experience for every guest.
