Houston, Texas, October 1, 2024 – The Coastal Prairie Conservancy is pleased to announce the appointment of Jenny Claycombe as its new Advancement Director. With more than a decade of nonprofit experience, including seven years as the Managing Director of Development at Amigos de las Américas, Jenny brings a wealth of expertise in major gift development, community engagement, and nonprofit leadership.

Jenny’s commitment to building strong relationships with donors and community supporters aligns perfectly with our mission to conserve Texas’s coastal prairies and wetlands ensuring these lands continue to provide vital ecosystem services such as flood mitigation, wildlife habitat, and carbon sequestration.”
In her new role, Jenny will spearhead CPC’s strategic fund development initiatives, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the organization’s conservation efforts. She will also lead communication strategies aimed at raising awareness of CPC’s work to protect the natural beauty and biodiversity of the Gulf Coast prairie region. Her focus will be on cultivating partnerships that generate the financial support necessary for CPC to preserve these landscapes for future generations.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Jenny enjoys exploring our coastal waterways in her kayak, volunteering at community gardens, and experiencing Houston’s vibrant culinary scene. Originally from southern Pennsylvania, Jenny’s small-town roots inspire her love for the outdoors and her dedication to creating a better world for future generations.
