What: Wild Tunes, a nonprofit organization founded by 11-year-old Yuvi Agarwal, dedicated to soothing shelter animals through music, will host its second annual “Melodies of Gratitude” concert. The free event is open to all and will feature some of Houston’s most talented musical performers. The year’s concert will benefit the more than 15,000 homeless pets helped annually by BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions, Houston Humane Society, and Special Pals.
When: Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024
4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Where: Resurrection MCC Church in The Heights
2025 W. 11th Street
Houston, Texas
Specifics: Wild Tunes invites the general public to enjoy an afternoon of inspirational music supporting our furry friends in need.
Zach Lashway, anchor at KPRC and fellow animal lover, will serve as master of ceremonies. The organization will announce the lineup of performers in the coming weeks.
Donations raised at the event will help tackle Houston’s animal overpopulation crisis by supporting local shelters’ cost of care (medical, spay/neuter food, boarding, etc.) as well as vital education and community outreach programs.
