“Many things played into receiving the Match Scholarship, but I believe it came down to taking challenging courses, having many extracurriculars, and always trying my best throughout high school, despite the challenges I may have faced. The Match Scholarship means the world to me and my family – coming from a lower-income household, knowing that affording college has been assured for the next four years, I am blessed, grateful, and excited for what the future holds for me at Rice University,” said Harmony School of Discovery Senior, Ogechi Sea-Akwaegbu.
