Unicorn World, an immersive, interactive and themed event for all ages, will come to Houston on May 12-14. The event, which includes a magical forest and animatronic unicorns, will take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
Created and developed by husband-wife duo Patrick and Lauren Mines, Unicorn World is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for families to build memories together through themed activities, including the enchanted forest, arts and crafts activities, story time and colorful, life-sized, moving and neighing unicorns.
“We’re very excited to bring Unicorn World to Houston so that its residents can experience the fun and magic of the event,” said Lauren Mines, co-founder of Unicorn World, LLC. “As parents of young children, we know how important it is to step away from the busyness of life to build memories with family and friends and enjoy time together.”
The Houston event will be the seventh of its kind, including previous events in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Chicago. The Mines plan to take the event across the country this year, including Atlanta; Memphis; Indianapolis; and Miami. Other cities also are expected to be added.
“To us, unicorns represent imagination, creativity and joy that reminds us of childhood memories,” Co-founder Patrick Mines said. “There is so much happening in the world, and we wanted to remind everyone that there is still room to celebrate and experience the magic of being a child. This event is all about building fond memories and leaving with a feeling of inspiration.”
Tickets, which are $39 per person and free for children under age 2, are being sold online in advance and will not be available for purchase at the event. Other experiences include unicorn bounce houses, rides, face painting and professional photos. For families with very young children, a special section is available for babies and toddlers under 2 years old.
