May 20: Hundreds to Climb Rice University Stadium for Lung Health

Lung Association event supports local efforts to end lung disease

Media is asked to save the date for the American Lung Association in Texas’ Fight For Air Climb at Rice University Stadium on  May 20. The annual event provides an opportunity for engaging video, photos and interviews with participants who suffer from lung disease and climb thousands of steps to help end lung disease.

WHO: The Fight For Air Climb is designed for every type of climber, from beginners to competitive climbersHundreds of climbers of all fitness levels, families and corporate teams from across Texas participate in the Fight For Air Climb.

WHAT:  The Fight For Air Climb is held annually to help raise funds for lifesaving research, advocacy and education programs. Participants will stair climb 990 steps inside Rice University Stadium. In doing so, they will raise awareness and funds to help those suffering from lung disease right here in Texas.

WHEN: Saturday, May 20, 2023, 8:00 a.m.

WHERE: Rice University Stadium, 6100 Main St, Houston, TX

WHY: Funds raised from the event will support the Lung Association’s efforts to improve lung health and prevent lung disease through lifesaving research, education and advocacy.
