Every year, the Houston Symphony offers a diverse lineup of festive programs during the holiday season, and this year is no exception. HOME ALONE—FILM WITH LIVE ORCHESTRA

Dec. 3, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.

Guest Conductor Constantine Kitsopoulos, alongside renowned composer John Williams, will bring holiday cheer to Jones Hall and lead the orchestra in this cherished musical holiday tradition as the beloved film Home Alone plays on a 40-foot screen.

HANDEL’S MESSIAH

Dec. 9-10, 2022 at 7:30 p.m.

Dec. 11, 2022 at 2:30 p.m.

British conductor Matthew Halls, along with the Houston Symphony Chorus and guest soloists Karina Guavin, Krisztina Szabó, Lawrence Wiliford and Tyler Duncan, come together for the iconic holiday tradition, Handel’s Messiah. Come experience Jones Hall as it is filled with joyous refrains and exultant arias, including the iconic “Hallelujah” Chorus, in this moving and powerful presentation of the greatest story ever told.

Nothing says “holiday” like Very Merry Pops! Guest conductor Michael Krajewski leads the sensational N’Kenge, star of Broadway’s Motown: The Musical and Caroline, Or Change, and the Symphony and Chorus for this heartwarming concert brimming with traditional carols, festive favorites, and plenty of yuletide cheer.

HO-HO-HOLIDAY! POLAR EXPRESS, FROZEN & MORE

Dec. 17, 2022 at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Make special memories at Jones Hall and treat the entire family to a morning of holly jolly musical cheer! This festive concert, led by guest conductor Lucas Waldin, will include songs from Disney’s Frozen, music from The Polar Express, “Sleigh Ride,” a holiday sing-along, and more. Enjoy upbeat performances from guest vocalist Chelsea Cymone, joined by Cypress Falls High School Choir and Jersey Village High School Choir. Plus, partake in free kid-friendly activities, including a visit with Santa, hot chocolate, and our popular Instrument Petting Zoo. Children of all ages, including infants, are welcome at PNC Family Series performances. All patrons must have a ticket when entering the concert venue. Lap children are welcome for free.
