Yesterday during Diwali, the kids led activities sharing what, when and why Diwali is celebrated and parents led a celebration for the Katy community with food, drinks and colorful activities. One of the staff members shared rangoli sketching and painting, with story-telling about the festival of lights. The day is significant as it is important all students learn and celebrate our international diversity. BIS Houston is incredibly proud to celebrate the cultural diversity of our community of 70+ nationalities and bring to life and learning experiences that go beyond the traditional classroom.
Community Blood Drive
Today, Seniors from British International School of Houston in Katy participated in a community blood drive. Students partnered with @commitforlife to help save and sustain lives by hosting a blood drive at the school. Together BIS Houston students made a difference and saved over 90 lives!
