Cornyn: Houston to Receive $20M Infrastructure Grant

The City of Houston was awarded a Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity grant, or RAISE grant, of $20,960,000 which will encourage investment in road, rail, transit, and port projects, U.S. Senator John Cornyn announced today. The funding comes through the Department of Transportation.

“Access to safe and efficient infrastructure is critical for Texas,” said Sen. Cornyn. “I applaud this announcement and look forward to seeing the positive impact this investment will have in Houston.”

Background:

The City of Houston has been awarded a RAISE grant for the Telephone Road: Main Street Revitalization Project which will make safety improvements between Lawndale Avenue and South Loop 610 to create a continuous corridor. Read more about the RAISE grant program here.
