HOUSTON, TX May 11, 2022 – In honor of State Fitness Day (May 7), Houston Fitness Partners, LLC, a Planet Fitness franchisee operating more than 30 locations in the Houston metro area, hosted state dignitaries last week to advise on the importance of fitness to the community. This effort will help drive awareness of the many benefits fitness has on physical and mental wellness.
Last week, State Representatives Jacey Jetton and Ed Thompson toured local Planet Fitness locations in honor of State Fitness Day which was proclaimed by Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, to recognize the importance an active lifestyle can have on Texans of all ages. Planet Fitness staff were at the locations to provide key insights on the importance of working out to better your physical and mental health. Additionally, the State Representatives were educated on the valuable role Planet Fitness has on the economy and on the health and well-being of Texas residents.

Planet Fitness franchisee Houston Fitness Partners, LLC has seen steady growth across clubs spanning five counties and has plans to open seven new clubs in 2022. Four of those seven locations – located in Katy, Spring, Crosby, and Greater Heights – have opened in the past month. Apart from health and wellness, local community outreach and building relationships outside of the gym is important to the franchisee. Over the past several years, it has partnered with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, Texas Children’s Hospital, The Rise School of Houston, Pro-Vision, Inc., and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
