Alice Cooper And Jackie Earle Haley Bring Frights And Horror To Comicpalooza

Award-Winning Actor and Legendary Rock ‘n’ Roll Artist Join Comicpalooza’s Thrilling Line-Up

Nightmares and horror collide as rock and roll Hall of Fame legend Alice Cooper, who also played the wicked stepfather of Freddy Krueger in Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, joins Jackie Earle Haley of A Nightmare on Elm Street and Watchmen at Comicpalooza. This year, fans will have the opportunity to meet the electrifying duo at the pop culture festival held at the George R. Brown Convention Center on Friday, July 15 to Sunday, July 17.

With a career that spans over 54 years, American singer and songwriter Alice Cooper is renowned worldwide for pioneering a grandly theatrical brand of hard rock that is designed to shock. Drawing from horror movies, vaudeville and garage rock, Cooper’s band created a stage show that haunted audiences with electric chairs, guillotines, boa constrictors, reptiles and other dark theatrics. Throughout his extensive music career, Cooper has sold over 50 million records including numerous platinum albums and sold-out tours. In 1991, the famed rockstar traded beats for blood by playing Freddy Krueger’s villainous stepfather in Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare. In addition to his extensive music career, Cooper’s other memorable movie and television appearances include Wayne’s World, Something Wilder, and That 70’s Show.

Since 1972, Jackie Earle Haley has a long and storied history in the entertainment industry and is best known for playing the iconic Rorschach in Watchmen and the infamously terrifying Freddy Krueger in the 2010 remake of the horror classic A Nightmare on Elm Street. Haley is also widely recognized for his role as Ronnie McGorvey in the film Little Children, which earned him numerous accolades including an Academy Award nomination and the coveted New York Film Critics Circle Award. Haley’s other notable film and television credits include Human Target, The Tick, Lincoln, The Bad News Bears, among many others.
