Former Principal Pops Conductor Michael Krajewski Is Joined By Vocalists Shem Von Shroeck, Micah Wilshire, And Julie Reiber To Perform Classic Rock Hits In February

Next month, former Principal POPS Conductor Michael Krajewski returns to the Houston Symphony alongside vocalists Shem Von Shroeck, Micah Wilshire, and Julie Reiber for Classic Rock: The Sound of a Generation. A symphonic tribute to classic rock’s biggest hits, the program on February 4, 5, and 6 features songs by beloved rock bands Fleetwood Mac, The Doobie Brothers, Styx, and Toto, among others. In-person and livestream tickets for this installment of the Bank of America POPS Program are now available at houstonsymphony.org/tickets.

Led by Krajewski, Symphony musicians and vocalists Shem Von Shroeck, Micah Wilshire, and Julie Reiber perform popular hits including “Listen to the Music,” “Black Water,” “Come Sail Away,” “Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow,” and more. Shem Von Shroeck is a singer and multi-instrumentalist who most recently served as bassist and principal backing vocalist for Toto, whose music is featured on the Classic Rock line-up. Micah Wilshire, formerly of the pop duo Wilshire, is a talented vocalist who has toured and recorded with internationally renowned artists such as Seal and Train. Wilshire is a musician, songwriter, and producer and currently serves as the VP of TV/Film for Young Guns Publishing. Julie Reiber currently stars in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Come From Away. She is best known for playing the iconic green girl Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway, and her other Broadway credits include performing the roles of Brooklyn in BKLYN The Musical, Natalie/Ed in All Shook Up, Marion in Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Medda in Newsies.  The Saturday night performance of Classic Rock: The Sound of a Generation is live streamed.

Livestream performances are available via a private link to ticket holders for $20. Everyone in the audience is required to wear a mask while in Jones Hall.
