Grimaldi’s Pizzeria Donates Over $100K To Non-Profits In 2021

The nationwide pizzeria raised funds for Childhelp, American Heart Association, No Kid Hungry

In honor of Giving Tuesday, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is pleased to announce a total donation of $102,000 to its 2021 non-profit partners, including Childhelp, the American Heart Association, and No Kid Hungry, from fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

Kicking off efforts in April to align with National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria ran a give back campaign in stores from coast to coast to raise funds and awareness for Childhelp’s mission to end child abuse. For every $5 guests donated to the organization, Grimaldi’s gifted matching discount cards in increments of $5 up to $25 per visit to be used on a future visit to the pizzeria. The month-long initiative raised a total of $33,000 for Childhelp. Later in the year, Grimaldi’s continued its fundraising efforts with similar campaigns for the American Heart Association in August and its long-term charity partner, No Kid Hungry, in September. Total donations made to those organizations as a result of Grimaldi’s fundraising efforts were $13,000 and $56,000 respectively.

“Our customers at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria locations nationwide prove their generosity time and time again by helping to support our annual fundraising efforts and we could not be more grateful,” says Grimaldi’s Pizzeria CEO Joseph Ciolli. “Giving back to our communities is one of our most cherished traditions at Grimaldi’s, and this year we’re thrilled to have been able to support not one, but THREE, truly incredible non-profit organizations.”

While Childhelp and the American Heart Association each represented new fundraising initiatives for the pizzeria in 2021, this year marked Grimaldi’s tenth partnership with No Kid Hungry, a collaboration which kicked off in 2013. To date, Grimaldi’s has raised more than $1 million to support No Kid Hungry’s fight to end childhood hunger in the United States.
