Child Advocates of Fort Bend and its Partner Agencies to Celebrate National Adoption Day, November 22

The Honorable Judge Walter Armatys and The Honorable Judge Janet B. Heppard and The Honorable Judge Kali Morgan Kick Off National Adoption Day to Help Finalize More Than 125,000 Adoptions Nationwide

This Friday, the Fort Bend County 328th, 387th, and 505th District Courts are joining forces with courts across the country opening their doors on National Adoption Day to finalize adoptions of children from foster care and to celebrate all families who adopt.

Here in Fort Bend County, the 328th, 387th, and 505th District Courts, Child Advocates of Fort Bend and its partners: Bikers Against Child Abuse, Fort Bend County Child Welfare Board, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, Exchange Club of Rosenberg, Fort Bend Bar Association, Fort Bend Behavioral Health, Fort Bend County Attorney’s Office, Fort Bend Lawyers Care, H.E.B., the Fort Bend Court Team for Maltreated Infants and Toddlers and local attorneys are all participating in this special day by working together to celebrate the joys of adoption and encourage more families and individuals to give children safe and permanent homes.

This year’s celebration will include both virtual and in-person adoptions at the Fort Bend County Courthouse, followed by a drive-through celebration at Child Advocates of Fort Bend’s (CAFB’s) Davis George Campus located at 5403 Avenue N in Rosenberg. Adoptions will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the drive through celebration will begin at 9:30 a.m.

What: Fort Bend County National Adoption Day Celebration

  • Finalize the adoption of 13 children who have been in the foster care system
  • Celebrate, honor, and thank adoptive families
  • Provide information about adoption to would-be adoptive parents
