Tree Lighting at LaCenterra Set to Make Long-Awaited Return in November 2021

LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center is gearing up for the return of a longtime community favorite just in time for the holidays – Tree Lighting at LaCenterra, presented by Texas Children’s Hospital. The event is set to take place on Friday, November 19 from 6 p.m.– 9 p.m.

The annual tree lighting festival has been a staple in the surrounding communities for years, serving as a pinnacle of holiday anticipation to usher in the festive season. After canceling the signature event in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19, LaCenterra aims to bring back this Katy favorite with exciting new features and additional activities, such as:

  • PUCCI Café’s Winter Wonderland – A real-life snow experience complete with two XL snow slides
  • Multiple community vendors on site, as well as holiday food vendors
  • OMG Mobile Gaming truck and interactive activities
  • Musical performance by Hybrid 7
  • A very festive selfie-station to capture the perfect holiday moment

Per tree lighting tradition, Santa himself will officially light the 51-foot Christmas tree in Heritage Square upon his arrival! Though pictures with Santa will not be available during the event this year, guests are encouraged to come back for Storytime with Santa where photo opportunities will be available. Storytimes will take place in Heritage Square on Tuesdays and Saturdays from November 30 – December 14.

Tree Lighting at LaCenterra is made possible by Texas Children’s Hospital, a longtime presenting sponsor and industry leader in pediatric patient care, education and research, as well as co-sponsors Circle B Veterinary Hospital and PUCCI Cafe, an upcoming LaCenterra tenant.
