Dog enthusiasts, get ready for next-level offerings from PUCCI Café & Pet Boutique, a luxury dog boutique and café aimed to set the new standard for your pets. PUCCI will open this Fall at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch in Katy, Texas. The one-of-a-kind doggie destination has been in the works for several years now. Owners Maria and Bobby Davidson launched the online portion of the boutique last year.
After several trips to Europe, the Davidson’s were inspired by the pet-friendly cafes that are accustomed to European lifestyles. They felt as if the United States lacked such concepts, and PUCCI was born. Offering luxe designer accessories, PUCCI was established as a place to not only shop for high-end dog products, but as a space for people to mingle with their pooches on a regular basis.
The interiors by Houston-based gin design group, are rich in texture with layers of lighting and greenery sprawled throughout to create an upscale environment and serve as a backdrop for the specialty merchandise and retail display cases. Nods to a classic English cafe are translated throughout the interior and façade, with added details in the architectural elements and custom millwork.
“Dog cafes in Europe are simply part of their lifestyle. It seemed like an obvious need for pet lovers in our community,” said owner Bobby Davidson. “We wanted a space that was open late that felt luxurious and high-end where you can enjoy time with your dog. After working a long day, sometimes our dogs end up being an afterthought, and we want to change that.”
PUCCI Café & Pet Boutique sells designer canine accessories that are imported from countries all over the world and throughout the United States, including an exclusive collection of dog spa products that are free of genetically modified organisms and harsh chemicals. Other products include bejeweled collars, pet jewelry, exclusive dog carriers, high-end clothing and more.
The space also offers high-quality third wave coffees, teas, specialty beers, wine, pastries, charcuterie boards and other sharable options. Future customers will be able to enjoy a snack while their furry friends indulge in tasty treats from the upscale dog bakery. The endcap space has a 2,000 square foot patio will feature live music right on the LaCenterra Lake as well as a fenced in play area.
With a background in merchandising, design, and business; the entrepreneurial duo came up with a way to mesh their experience and their passion for animals by combining the two. The company is also dedicated to generating awareness to pet rescues in and around the Greater Houston area to help find animals their forever homes. The café will also host events such as wine tasting, espresso cupping and other partnership campaigns for dog rescue organizations in Katy and the Greater Houston area.
Maria Davidson serves as the president of the company and brings a smart, sustainable, and elegant strategy to the products carried and the menu served. Her husband, Bobby, provides day-to-day leadership to the company’s senior management, and is involved in the marketing, business development and sales activities of the organization.
