The City of Richmond and the City of Rosenberg Presents the “Tradition Returns” Parade

The City of Richmond and the City of Rosenberg will be presenting the “Tradition Returns” Parade in honor of the 85th Fort Bend County Fair. The Parade will be on Friday, September 24, 2021, on the traditional day known as Fair Day at 9:00 AM. This announcement comes as a collaborative effort between the cities staff and various departments. The parade route begins at the Historic Court House, 401 Jackson Street, in Richmond and proceeds west down Hwy. 90-A to Jennetta Street in Rosenberg.

The Needville Little League team will be the 2021 Parade Marshal. Their honor comes after they were two wins away from a Little League World Series berth.  Seventy-five floats have signed up thus far and the Parade committee has been hard at work with final details. Safety measures will be in place to help mitigate COVID concerns. Both Mayor Becky Haas of Richmond and Mayor Kevin Raines of Rosenberg are excited to be able to carry on the tradition that has meant so much to Fort Bend County.

Fort Bend County residents and other parade-watchers will be treated to parade entries that include floats, horses, marching bands, antique cars, and much more.
